ISLAND | Seven-Day Weather Sample Charts

Prompt

Use VIFE Lite to create an editable XLSX, "ISLAND | Seven-Day Weather Sample Charts". All locations and values are simulated samples, not real weather or forecasts. Create 21 records for 7 consecutive days × 3 fictional locations, with ISO text dates, high/low temperatures, rainfall, wind speed and weather labels; build three sheets, Data Detail, Location Comparison and Weather Dashboard, with line and column charts bound to the actual data ranges, conditional formatting for the temperature range, formulas, and cached values that preview directly. Label every sheet as simulated data, and use mist blue, sunshine yellow, coral orange and warm white; check the data, formulas, charts and editability, then deliver a single final XLSX. Write all content, headings, labels, sheet names and file names in English.

ISLAND | Seven-Day Weather Sample Charts.xlsx — a fully editable, formula-driven sample workbook. Every sheet carries a "SIMULATED DATA" banner: all locations and values are fictional samples, not real weather or forecasts.

Structure (3 sheets, English throughout)

  • Data Detail — 21 records (7 consecutive ISO text dates 2026-11-01…2026-11-07 × 3 fictional locations: Port Ellery, Kestrel Cove, Driftwood Bay) with high/low °C, rainfall mm, wind km/h and weather label; two calculated columns (day-night swing, rain band); dropdown validation for location and weather; autofilter; frozen header; summary + record check block.
  • Location Comparison — seven-day aggregates per location via COUNTIF / SUMIF / AVERAGEIF / MAXIFS / MINIFS / RANK, plus a cross-check block that reconciles each aggregate against Data Detail (all PASS).
  • Weather Dashboard — KPI strip, daily island summary, a high-temperature matrix by location, and weather-label mix; every figure is formula-linked to Data Detail.

Charts (5, bound to real cell ranges) — 2 line charts (daily average high/low; high temperature by location) and 3 column charts (average high/low by location, seven-day rainfall by location, daily rainfall).

Sample results: 21 records · 3 locations · 7 days · average high 24.0 °C · average low 16.6 °C · total rainfall 105.3 mm · peak wind 38.6 km/h · wettest location Driftwood Bay 69.6 mm (rank 1) · driest Kestrel Cove 7.4 mm · label mix Sunny 7, Partly Cloudy 5, Showers 5, Rain 3, Overcast 1.

Palette: mist blue (headers, bars, mist-tinted formula cells), sunshine yellow (simulated-data banner, totals, PASS), coral orange (accent KPI, second series, thresholds) and warm white (editable input cells). Conditional formatting covers the temperature range (3-colour scales on High and Low, coral highlight when the day-night swing exceeds 8 °C, data bars on rainfall). 7 named ranges (Sample_High, Sample_Rain, …) make the formulas readable; 185 formula cells all carry cached results so values preview without recalculating.

Verification: 42 checks passed on the saved bytes — sheet roster, ISO text dates, 21 unique date×location rows, low<high, every cached value compared cell-by-cell against an independent recomputation from the records as read back out of the file (204 cells, 0 mismatches), chart series ranges, conditional-formatting ranges, validations, names, freeze panes, print areas, explicit column widths, and a text-fit audit with no clipped labels.

Coverage limit: this Computer has no office engine (no LibreOffice, no root, rootless installs failed), so I could not recalculate or render the file to PDF/images here. The formula caches were verified by independent recomputation and by a deterministic width/content audit instead of a rendered page check; charts are verified by their stored series ranges, not by pixels. Opening the file in Excel or Google Sheets will render the charts and recalculate (recalculation on open is enabled).
