MIRA | Fragrance Sampling Event Budget

Prompt

Create a sampling event budget workbook for MIRA, a fictional fragrance brand: record registrations, attendance and feedback counts for 6 events, plus budget and actual spend for 4 cost categories per event. Provide editable cost detail, an event summary, budget variance, attendance rate, cost per attendee and a chart dashboard. Label all data as a simulated sample. Write all content, headings, labels, sheet names and file names in English.

MIRA — Sampling Event Budget Workbook (.xlsx, 6 sheets, all English)

SheetWhat it holds
Read Me
Purpose, sheet guide, editing rules, formula definitions, sample notice
Event Register
Input: 6 events with date, city, channel, registrations, attendees, feedback responses, plus attendance and feedback rates
Cost Detail
Editable input: 24 rows (6 events × 4 categories) with Budget, Actual, variance, variance % and a Within/Over Budget status; dropdowns for Event ID and category
Event Summary
Per-event roll-up: attendance rate, feedback rate, total budget/actual, variance, cost per attendee, cost per registration
Budget Variance
Variance by event, by cost category, and an event × category variance matrix
Dashboard
10 KPI cells + 6 charts (volume, attendance rate, budget vs actual by event, variance, cost per attendee, budget vs actual by category)

Simulated headline results

  • 2,210 registrations → 1,770 attendees (80.1% attendance), 1,042 feedback responses (58.9% of attendees)
  • Budget SGD 213,300 vs actual SGD 217,770 → variance −4,470 (−2.1%), i.e. 2.1% over budget
  • Overall cost per attendee SGD 123.03; range SGD 101.83 (Bloom Pop-Up) to SGD 165.89 (Noir Boutique Night)
  • Every cost category ran slightly over; Sampling Product was the largest overrun (−2,000, −3.5%). Only EV-02 came in under budget.

How it works: the two input sheets are the only places to type. Everything else — summaries, variance, rates, KPIs and all six charts — is a live formula (342 formula cells), so edits flow through automatically.

Verification: reopened the saved file from disk and recomputed every figure independently — 448/448 checks pass, 0 failures, no #DIV/0!-type tokens, 6 charts with text category references and correct series ranges, 2 validations, all 6 sheets labelled as a simulated sample. A deterministic width/overflow audit reports 0 clipped or spilling cells.

One limitation: no spreadsheet renderer is installed in this environment, so I could not produce page images. Layout was checked deterministically (column widths, merged banner rows, chart anchors clear of the KPI block, chart-to-chart spacing) rather than visually. Open it once to confirm the chart placement looks right on your screen.
