Create a two-page editable A4 set for a fictional store operations worker moving into user research operations: page one is a resume that highlights transferable skills from customer interviews, service process mapping and feedback loops, and includes a learning plan; page two is a cover letter for a fictional role that explains motivation, intended contributions and the limits of current skills. Store Operations Lead — Northline Home & Hardware [Sample content]
March 2022 – Present [Sample content] · Portland, OR [Sample content]
A two-page A4 set, one page per document, in deep ink, warm white and green.
Page 1 — Résumé. Header band, profile, a three-column transferable-skills table (store-operations evidence → research-operations competency → evidence), core skills, two roles with customer-interview and process-mapping achievements, a four-row learning plan for the first nine months, and education/tools.
Page 2 — Cover letter. Letterhead, recipient block, subject line, then motivation (service-desk work reframed as research operations), intended contributions (scheduling, screeners, incentives, notes, closing the loop), an explicit paragraph on the limits of current skills, a ninety-day plan, signature and enclosure line.
Every person, organization, date and quantified result carries an inline “Sample content” label, and each page opens or closes with a standing notice that the set is fictional.
Two files, same content:
- DOCX — the editable master. Real styles, tables and text, no images, so names, dates and metrics can be replaced directly.
- PDF — the print/share version, exactly 2 A4 pages, fonts embedded, no overflow.
Both were built from one content source, so they stay in sync; the DOCX uses Times New Roman/Arial at the same sizes and margins as the PDF.
