AI Product Videos: Keep Claims and Visuals Accurate
Make this article actionable
Send the article context into Vife Agent and turn it into a plan, checklist, or draft you can keep working on.
A product video should show the item a customer can actually buy. AI can help develop scenes and draft a script, but a convincing image is not evidence that a product has a feature.
Start with the AI product video generator workflow when you have a product URL, reference images and a defined audience. Before generating clips, separate verified product facts from creative suggestions.
Create an approved product fact sheet
Record the exact SKU, variant, dimensions, material, included accessories and care instructions. Add the source for each claim: an approved specification sheet, the current product listing or an authorized photograph.
A product URL can contain incomplete descriptions, stale offers or images of multiple variants. Check what was extracted and compare it with the original page. If the model cannot read an image label or a specification table, supply the relevant approved text rather than asking it to guess.
Here is a fictional brief used only to illustrate the review process:
| Field | Approved input for this example |
|---|---|
Product | Plain ceramic mug, one approved white variant |
Capacity | 350 ml, supplied in the fictional specification |
Care instruction | Hand wash only |
Reference assets | Front, side and handle photographs owned by the merchant |
Missing evidence | Heat-retention duration, dishwasher safety, manufacturing location |
Desired output | A short listing video showing appearance, scale and the handle |
Do not turn a missing field into a selling point. “Keeps drinks hot for two hours” and “dishwasher safe” would both fail review for this brief. These are editorial examples of claims to reject, not observations from a generated Vife video.
Turn the useful parts into next steps
Vife Agent can convert this guide into a prioritized workflow with tasks, risks, and reusable prompts.
Plan shots around what the evidence supports
A shot list gives each scene a purpose and a review criterion. This illustrative 20-second plan allocates time for four scenes; it does not promise that a model will produce the exact timeline in one request.
| Time | Scene | Acceptance check |
|---|---|---|
0–4 seconds | Establish the mug against a simple background | Correct color, silhouette and handle |
4–9 seconds | Show the approved side view and a slow camera move | No invented markings or changing geometry |
9–15 seconds | Show the mug in a plausible tabletop setting | Scale and visible proportions remain consistent |
15–20 seconds | Product name and approved call to action | Legible text and no unsupported feature claim |
Use real footage for demonstrations that need to prove a physical property. An AI depiction of a bag in heavy rain cannot establish waterproof performance. A generated exploded view cannot establish the internal construction of a real device.
Give the model constraints it can be reviewed against
Draft a product-video brief using only the attached fact sheet and approved reference images. List four shots, the fact each shot communicates and a check for product consistency. Keep the same white mug, handle shape and markings. Do not add accessories or claim dishwasher safety or heat-retention performance. Identify any shot that requires real footage instead of generated imagery.
Review the brief before spending credits on media generation. Check the selected model, available settings and displayed estimate in the workspace; a provider's API token price is a different unit from Vife credits. Current plan terms are on the pricing page.
Inspect the result as a merchant
Review the full clip and pause at the beginning, middle and end of each shot. Check the handle attachment, rim, surface, labels and color against the approved reference images. Watch transitions for objects that stretch, duplicate or disappear.
For a product with readable packaging, inspect the exact words. Rebuild necessary text from approved copy if the generated letters are wrong. Check whether hands hide a defect or make the item appear larger than it is.
Maintain a short issue log with a timestamp, expected appearance, observed problem and requested correction. “Looks strange” is difficult to act on; “the handle changes shape at 00:07” is a useful review note. Do not reuse a rejected shot in another placement.
Prepare the listing and the final file
Confirm that the listing title, selected variant, price and care instructions agree with the video. A beautiful clip paired with the wrong SKU remains a poor customer experience.
Reopen the exported file outside the editing preview. Check text at phone size, audio, duration and the required placement format. YouTube's encoding guidance is a useful source for YouTube delivery settings, including MP4 and H.264; consult the destination platform's own requirements when publishing elsewhere.
In the United States, the FTC's advertising and marketing basics explain that advertising claims must be truthful and supported. The practical editorial rule here is simple: keep a source for every factual product claim and approval for the final representation.
For export and caption review, continue to the video editing handoff checklist. For measuring creative variants after publication, use the AI video ad experiment guide. This page focuses on product accuracy; a finished video does not establish sales uplift.
