# Authentication guide for agents (vife.ai)

Vife AI is an AI agent workspace. Public marketing pages, the blog, `llms.txt`,
`sitemap.xml`, and the discovery documents under `/.well-known/` require no
authentication. Everything else (the `/agent` workspace and most of
`https://api.vife.ai`) requires a signed-in user session.

## Account creation

- Humans create accounts at https://vife.ai/login (email + password with email
  verification, or Google sign-in).
- Automated account creation is not supported. If you are an AI agent, ask the
human you are working for to create the account and sign in.

## Session authentication

- Sign-in is handled by better-auth; a successful login sets an HTTP-only
session cookie which authenticates subsequent API requests.
- There is currently **no public OAuth 2.0 / OIDC authorization server** for
vife.ai, no API keys, and no personal access tokens. Consequently the
  `oauth-authorization-server` and `oauth-protected-resource` well-known
  documents are intentionally not published.
- Browser-based agents operating a signed-in user's browser session (with that
user's consent) can use the workspace the same way the user does.

## Programmatic model access

- Vife itself does not sell API access. For programmatic, API-key based access
to AI models from the same team, see https://aiduct.ai.
